Psychoneuroimmunology is a branch of medicine that studies the interaction between psychic processes and the immune, endocrine, and nervous systems in the human body.

PNI works in an interdisciplinary way, bringing together different medical disciplines such as psychology, endocrinology, neuroscience, behavioural medicine, immunology, etc.

PNI studies the relationship and communication between the brain (mind and behaviour) and the systems that maintain the homeostasis of our body: nervous system (central and autonomous), immune system, and endocrine system.

Thus, it is understood that a migraine can be caused by a malfunction of the digestive system, that overweight can be the consequence of a hormonal imbalance, or that cases of celiac disease, arthritis, or autoimmune thyroiditis, can be the result of intestinal problems.

The study of the disease is carried out through a comprehensive blood, feces, and urine analysis. We pay special attention to the patient’s symptoms, which are addressed from the first visit.

The pillars in PNI treatment are: otromolecular (cellular) nutrition, natural supplementation, reeducation in terms of eating and daily habits, mind and body exercise, and conventional medicine.
