NEUROFEEDBACK AS THE BEST BRAIN TRAINING FOR ATHLETES
When we are facing a challenge, in this case an athletic competition, we can distinguish between two variables that can influence the outcome: The ones related to elements we think we can control since we already have had previous training (techniques, skills etc) and which provide us with conviction. Then we have the variables that we cannot control, like external circumstances (situations that can occur during competition, personal distraction etc) and these lead to a sensation of stress and nervousness which later will affect our level of control on the competition and this is the point where the mental force of the athlete starts to matter.
The aim is to prepare an ideal psychological level in order to perform at our best; this psychological state is better known as flow and this is the sensation where athletes manage to completely focus on the execution of their own action until the point where they do this automatically; in other words when their mind and their body are in perfect union.
WHY IS NEUROFEEDBACK HELPFUL FOR ATHLETES?
Neurofeedback help athletes to reach their highest performance which will allow them to face every competition with success.
When physically training, the muscles respond and gain force, with a cerebral training the brain also learns how to self-regulate in its best way, providing the individual with a sensation of control in the execution of the activity , thus helping them to focus only on the action they are performing.
